In October of 2019, we hosted a pop-up shopping event with Natalie Bloomingdale at Casa Perfect LA by The Future Perfect. The Mid-Century turned Regency-style home by architect Rex Lotery was made famous by Elvis Presley who purchased the property in the late ‘60s. It was the quintessential setting for displaying the colorful handmade kaftans by Sue Sartor and a host of other designers whose work was inspired by pieces on display at the contemporary gallery. Bloomingdale founded The SIL Shop in 2017 and has “found that the majority of The SIL audience are design enthusiasts or affiliated with interior design in some way, so this partnership is a wonderful way to channel and amplify that.” Bloomingdale also partnered with The Beverly Hills Hotel on its one and only capsule collection.

Calico Wallpaper Topographies Collection The texture is riveting. I have an affinity for paper and its properties. This beautiful Calico wall covering reminds me of a similar artwork by Eduardo Santiere that I have never been able to forget!

Cathrine Rabin Davidsen True Blue Lamp My husband loves the color blue. I can usually get away with a purchase if I explain that “it was blue” - so I’m drawn to this True Blue lamp by Danish designer Cathrine Rabin Davidsen for its beauty, lines, and of course, the deep blue like Jason Martin’s “Ultra Blue” as well as Baldessari’s “Blue.”

Marta Sala Editions Duda Chair I have been an admirer of Italian designer Marta Sala Éditions ever since I read about her collection in a story by Pilar Viladas in T Magazine several years ago. I love that there are so many configurations and applications to each piece - the geometry of it all is very appealing. This Duda chair was part of her debut collection, and I just have to find a place for it someday in my own home!

Michael Anastassiades Waxing Gibbous Mirror These multi-dimensional mirrors by Michael Anastassiades seem to be making a commentary on reflection. What a thought-provoking concept!

Shore Rugs Whoever thought of outdoor rugs to enhance design probably lived in California. With the amount of time we spend enjoying the beautiful weather here, it’s a great idea and amplifies any outdoor living space.

Eric Roinestad Masks I love what Eric Roinestad is doing. I actually first discovered his work at Casa Perfect LA and have been following him ever since. His pieces are so unique and have such mesmerizing personalities - even his vessels that don’t have faces look friendly to me. I need them!
